Mud Morganfield’s Music Career
Mud Morganfield is a well-known American artist and the first-born son of the musician Muddy Waters. Muddy Waters was a recognized musician of the blues genre and was named as the “Father of Modern Chicago Blues”. After his father passed away, Mud Morganfield decided to take up the music career as he wanted to keep his father’s music alive in the hearts of people.
Mud Morganfield began his career in music by the release of the Album Fall Waters Fall. This album was self-released in 2008, and four years later in 2012 another proper album was released by Severn Records which was called Son of a Seventh Son.
Achievements of the singing sensation
The Blues Foundation Blues Music Awards nominated ‘Son of a Seventh Son’ as the Best Album and also the Traditional Blues Male Artist Album in 2013. The album has bagged two Blues Blast Awards. Today, ‘Son of a Seventh Son’ makes it to the Top 50 Albums of 2012 for Classic Rock.
Mud released an album For Pops: A Tribute to Muddy Water in collaboration with Kim Wilson. The album acclaimed many awards. In 2015, For Pops won the Blues Music Award in the ‘Traditional Blues Album’ category.
