The highlight of the Global Citizen Festival India 2016 might be Coldplay, but there’s an interesting line-up of artists also that will grace the event. The list of artists includes Jay Z, A.R. Rahman, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Arijit Singh, Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy, Dia Mirza and Monali Thakur. The event include guests ranging from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bollywood actors such as Amitabh Bachchan hosting the event. With such a star-studded line up and guest list, it’s going to be a one big event.

Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai is co-produced by communication and entertainment company Wizcraft. On the campaign front, Global Citizen is working with Indian organization, the Global Education Leadership Foundation, whose mission is to build a community of ethical, altruistic leaders who work together to improve the state of the world. The Global Education Leadership Foundation (tGELF) will host the festival in different cities in India every year for the next fifteen years as an annual accountability moment.

The festival has already created a buzz in India ever since the announcement of Coldplay was made. In the last two occasions when the band visited India, for the shoot of their video “Hymn for the Weekend”, and later in the year when Chris Martin played an impromptu gig in a cafe in Delhi, fans were left with broken hearts. Coldplay which boasts of a loyal set of fans in India, will grace the audience with an actual concert this time in the much-awaited Global Citizen Festival India 2016. So if you are also amongst those Coldplay fans who got depressed after missing their unscheduled appearances last year, this is a chance to make up for that! November is going to be the hottest month of the year, as so many celebrities from Bollywood and International Music arena are set to rock the stage of the Global Citizen Festival India 2016!
