Toronto International Festival Festival (TIFF) is one of the most prestigious film festival in the world. It is an honor to have a film screened at this festival and you can be sure that these films have something extraordinary about them. Over the past few years, there have been some stunning TIFF films. Here are the five from TIFF 2018 that everyone should see:

Outlaw King

This was a historical biopic which starred Chris Pine in the lead role as Robert the Bruce, a 14th-century Scottish lord who launched a rebellion to fight for his rightful place as Scotland’s ruler against the English army.

Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota

This Indian film premiered at TIFF as The Man Who Feels No Pain. It is about a young man who was born with the ability to not feel any pain at all. He goes on a quest to defeat hundred enemies. This film might soon get a wide release in India so you would be able to see it in theaters.

Free Solo

This is a documentary about the 30-year-old Alex Honnold who tried and succeeded to do something nobody had ever done before. He climbed the 3,000-foot cliff of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park without any safety ropes – free solo.

Green Book

This film is based on the true friendship between two men in 1950s America at a time when slavery was abolished, but racism was still rampant. A pianist (Mahershala Ali) hires an Italian-American driver (Viggo Mortensen) to accompany him on a tour in the deep South.


Directed by Alfonso Cuaron, Roma has won hearts at every film festival and TIFF was no different. This film shows a realistic portrayal of the life of a family in Mexico and it’s already won Golden Globes and is also on its way to win at Oscars
