WWE Elimination Chamber results revealed Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania opponent; Roman Reigns. Outlasting five other contenders including John Cena, Reigns became the number one contender for the universal championship.
Post Elimination Chamber on the 25th of February 2018, the crowd joined presenters Renee Young and Peter Rosenberg for Raw Talk. Rosenberg touched upon the fact that fans had been waiting for a fight between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar for a long time. Renee Young also spoke about Alexa Bliss retaining the women’s championship and her praiseworthy performance.
They were later joined by John Cena who was evidently upset because the match had not gone in his favour. Cena said that he was determined that this wasn’t the end of WrestleMania for him and even though he did not have an opponent, he had a plan.
John Cena shocked the living daylight of the crowd at Raw Live on the 26th of February, 2018. He officially challenged The Undertaker for a match at WrestleMania 34. Yes, you heard it right. Until he didn’t. Fans went berserk until 30 seconds later Cena backtracked saying the match won’t be possible. The 16-time world champion was told by the authorities that such a match won’t be possible. It was implied that it could be because The Undertaker may officially retire. But they remain mere speculations.
It was to the amazement of many WWE fans as to why Cena was advertised for the 27th February 2018 version of SmackDown Live. John Cena confirmed his appearance on SmackDown Live. He aims to find a spot on the card for WrestleMania 34 after his latest effort backfired.
