Be it her bravura performance in Pink or her short yet powerful portrayal of a refugee in The Ghazi Attack, Tapsee Pannu is one actress who is here to make sure we stay stunned and surprised every time she comes on screen. Her 15-minutes of screen presence as a special agent in Akshay Kumar starrer Baby, one of the biggest hits of 2015, left us craving for more from this girl. But little did we anticipate that the makers of the film also resonate the same feeling. A second instalment of the film, titled “Naam Shabana” was announced and it was revealed that Taapsee Pannu will be the hero of this film and Akshay Kumar will be seen in a special cameo.

After teasing us enough with its posters and trailer, Naam Shabana is ready to hit the theatres this Friday. Before you catch this Bollywood Action thriller film on big screen, here's all you need to know about it.

1. Directed by Shivam Nair, Naam Shabana is the second film in the Baby franchise, and will follow Taapsee's character. Both Akshay and Taapsee will reprise their roles in this second instalment. In Baby, Taapsee had a cameo. But this time around she is the lead protagonist of the film and Akshay Kumar is reportedly playing a cameo in the film. This film belongs to her and she is the hero in it. Naam Shabana traces her character's journey from a girl-next-door to one of the most qualified special agents.

2. The film will also see National Award winning actor Manoj Bajpayee and South superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran playing pivotal roles. Elli Avram also bagged a special role in the film.

3. The film has been shot extensively in Mumbai and Malaysia. The duo shot across famous locations of Kuala Lumpur, including the City Centre and Petronas Towers.

4. This upcoming Bollywood movie will be laced with some high intensity fight and action sequences for which both Taapsee and Akshay went through an intense training. It is reported that Tapsee got the training for her action sequences from the stunt director of the Incredible Hulk, Cyril Raffaelli. The actress who is fresh from the phenomenal success of her last two films, The Ghazi Attack and Pink is all geared up as an “Action Queen” for Naam Shabana.
