It is pretty apt to say that the cricket season is just here and nothing can fill the shoes in our lives. We live in a country where cricket is actually a religion and Sachin Tendulkar is our God. We have seen in the recently released docudrama Sachin: A Billion Dreams how cricket can change the whole scenario and how crazy people are for this sport in the country. At the same time, we also know that this legendary cricketer held a special screening of his movie/docudrama for the Men In Blue before they could head to the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. This tournament is special to team India in so many ways as they just have been inspired by the idol they have been following since they were kids, Virat Kohli is heading the team for the first time in any big ICC Tournament, and team is in a pretty good shape.

The Champions Trophy 2017 will be played between June 01-18, with defending champions India pooled with South Africa, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in Group B. Group A consists of Australia, New Zealand, England and Bangladesh. Virat Kohli's team is scheduled to open their cricketing journey on June 4 at Edgbaston against Pakistan. This will also be the first tournament where Virat will be leading team India in an ICC Championship after M.S. Dhoni stepped down from the captaincy earlier this year.

This most coveted tournament starts today and will witness England and Bangladesh clashing in the first match of the league. The second match will be played between Australia and New Zealand on June 02 and the most awaited match of the tournament and year, India v/s Pakistan, will be played on Sunday, June 04. The other two matches of India will be against Sri Lanka on June 8 and South Africa on June 11, both at Kennington Oval.

The world of Cricket seems to have transitioned exponentially, especially after 2014, into a social media- driven hysteria. International cricket and not just the India-Pakistan match seems to feed on this rage. No matter what the result is, we always go behind the numbers on the scoreboard and not the quality of game. So this time, maybe you can actually leave the Indian team for winning or losing, but focus on the superior game that will be played in this championship. Well good news, you can show all the excitement and be a part of the Indian brigade in the English country too. Buy your tickets for this top cricketing sport event in England with BookMyShow and expect the best cricket this summer in ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
