Australia is on a 4 Match Test Series tour in India and both the teams seem to be in good form. In the first test match at Pune, the Aussies outplayed India in every department of the game and won by a big margin of 333 runs. In the second match at Bengaluru, Team India made a comeback and managed to pull the game by a difference of 75 runs. The third test is ongoing, with Australia scoring 451 and Jadeja again taking a 5 wicket haul in the first innings. India will be coming out anytime now to play and will try to combat against this big score.

India skipper Virat Kohli, recovering from a shoulder injury on the first day missed the start of day two proceedings on the field and Ajinkya Rahane is leading the team against Australia in the third cricket Test here. When Australia were 132/3 in 39.1 overs on day one, Kohli departed the field holding his right shoulder after he bumped into the boundary fence near the mid-on boundary rope to save the boundary from Australian Batsman, Peter Handscomb. Kohli however joined his teammates in the warm-up session before the start of day 2 play and had a long discussion with the newly anointed coach Anil Kumble.

Just to give everyone a brief glimpse of the rule of ICC- If any player is absent from the field for longer than eight minutes, the player shall not be permitted to bat unless or until, in the aggregate, he has returned to the field and/or his side's innings has been in progress for at least that length of playing time for which he has been absent or, if earlier, when his side has lost five wickets. However, the clause is not applicable if the player has suffered from an external blow (as opposed to an internal injury such as a pulled muscle) whilst participating earlier in the match and consequently been forced to leave the field.

A BCCI statement was out later in the evening which said there is ‘no serious concern’ and Kohli will continue to receive treatment, making him participate in the rest of the match. It is left to see now if the Australia National Cricket Team can pull this match or the Indian side will be able to secure a win in the Third Test Match in Ranchi. Meanwhile, if you are as excited as this series for Indian Premier League 2017, you can book your tickets from here and be a part of this extravagant cricketing league.
