Directed by the Delhi Belly writer/director Akshat Verma, this upcoming movie was in the pipeline since years now. All this while when we were thinking about Saif Ali Khan’s return to the big screen, this is it.The film also features actors like Kunaal Roy Kapur, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasurywala, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam in the lead roles. The teaser/ trailer of this upcoming hindi film is already out and is definitely swooning the audiences like anything.

The movie is set in the the city of Mumbai and shows it with underworld goons, doomed bankers and idealistic lovers all closely knitted to each other. This karmic tale about love, crime and living a lifetime in one night is a movie we all wanted to see from a very long time. Even though Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman comes up with all big releases, but Saif is all set to change the game with this latest movie. In this dark, funny tale, the lives of complete strangers intersect for a few frantic moments and lead to consequences not improbable but extraordinary.

Akshat Verma has written and directed this unique movie and he is probably the only voice who tells it exactly like it actually is. Mumbai is a city which is full of dreams, opportunities and at the same time threats from underworld and what not. It’s a crazy, beautiful city and he has captured it perfectly in this very fun and very moving story. This is a story where fates intertwine, destinies bump into each other, chaotic ironies result and in the end - order is restored in the end with much deserved justice.

Kaalakaandi if we go to see, is a thrilling dark comedy, which bollywood directors refrain from these days. The story plays out in 12 hours, with six characters from different worlds, from urban, ambitious upwardly mobile Bombay and its dark, neglected under-belly. It will be a great sight to watch this ensemble cast of actors playing the roles of their life and making this movie look even better from what we anticipate.
