Lucknow Central, an upcoming Hindi movie has released its trailer this morning and we finally have got something to look forward to. We all have been waiting for this Farhan Akhtar movie for a long long time and finally it unveils something unusual, yet something true. Directed by the talented Ranjit Tiwari who has done films like D-Day, Hero and Katti Batti before this, the cast of this movie includes Diana Penty playing an NGO activist and Ronit Roy playing a cop in the lead roles.

Farhan Akhtar playing Kishan Mohan Girhotra, a small town man has to choose between his dreams and his freedom in his upcoming movie Lucknow Central. The movie is set against the backdrop of a jail and is a story of an inmate who is wrongfully put behind bars and is forced to opt for the unlawful path to get his much-deserved freedom. Kishen plots an escape from the jail and is presented with an opportunity to form a music band with fellow inmates played by Deepak Dobriyal, Rajesh Sharma, Inaam Ul Haq and Rajesh Sharma.

The movie is definitely going to have some amazing music and we have seen similar roles by this Lucknow Central actor in the past, namely in the Rock On franchise. With the trailer out now, we know that this small-town man with big dreams is framed in a murder case and all his aspirations of forming a music band are crushed by the malice of some corrupt leaders and cops. But with the entry of Diana Penty in the film, this prisoner No.1821 gets a hope of fulfilling his wish of becoming a singer and forming a band. His dream of listening to people shouting his name, “Kishen, Kishen!” is awakened and that’s what keeps him going.

Well, whether or not Kishen was falsely accused and to see if he is indeed successful in breaking out of the jail, is something we will have to wait and watch when the film hits theatres on 15 September 2017.
