When the trailer of Kaalakaandi was released, everyone was pretty psyched about the movie and the trailer was full of dark humour and appealing visuals. Now the movie has released and it has got some amazing reviews from the critics as well as audiences. Kaalakaandi features Saif Ali Khan and Sobhita Dhulipala in the lead role. Helmed by the the writer and associate director of Delhi Belly, Akshat Verma, it is a dark comedy with almost the same plot, a comedy based on the trail of errors in one night.

The film is primarily in English if we go to see, with only two underworld looking underlings (Vijay Raaz and Deepak Dobriyal) conversing in street level Hindi. It is clear that Verma is fascinated by mavericks and misfits and we saw it in his last movie Delhi Belly. Even though the movie starts with Saif taking a drop of acid (a drug),as he is diagnosed with cancer and the doctor wants him to live his life to the fullest, the night gets more frenzy. Watching the quality of his writing, he turns the freewheeling Kaalakaandi into a human drama that explores life’s best of emotions and experiences.

The movie also stars Kunal Roy Kapoor, Isha Talwar and Akshay Oberoi and the 3 parallel stories between them unfolds in a penultimate shot where the plots come together to form a bigger picture. If you ask us about the movie, it’s brilliantly made, the movie’s distorted visuals give us the real feel of the Saif’s journey throughout and it shows how perfectly he has played this part in spite of his almost dull career at this point of time. The movie is definitely not good with it’s songs as Delhi Belly was, but is sure shot a winner on the paper and in the theatres.

He loves to spend his time playing tennis, binge-watching DC and Marvel stuff and karaokeing in the places he shouldn't. He is a big time 'Don Draper' fan and you wouldn't want to argue with him when it comes to 'Game Of Thrones'. With a friendly personality and the famous curls, he is unarguably our first 'Go To' person.
