Two iconic actors reuniting on screen after a long time is nothing short of legendary. Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor are set to share screen space after 27 long years in 102 Not Out.
A comedy drama, 102 Not Out is helmed by Umesh Shukla who directed Oh My God! It is an unusual story about a 102-year- old father and a 75-year- old son who have different perceptions about old age. An ageless comedy drama, the movie’s tagline reads “Baap cool, beta old school.”
The first trailer for the film was released on March 28 2018 and it has already hit 6.5 million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours. Every bit of the 2 minutes 56 seconds video oozes out fun.
Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a 102-year- old father who wants to set a record of having lived the longest and has 16 years left to break the set record. He is old but he definitely is a child at heart. Whereas Rishi Kapoor plays the role of a 75-year- old man who evidently lives a dull life without much to look forward to. The twist in the tale arrives when the father wants to send his son away to an old age home.
The trailer is full of rib-tickling moments. It also seems as though Rishi Kapoor’s wife is still alive and Amitabh is trying to reconcile them. Haven’t you watched the trailer yet?
To make their characters look authentic, both the actor’s looks have been meticulously designed. It doesn’t come as a surprise that both Amitabh Bachchan as well as Rishi Kapoor play their parts with phenomenal conviction. It’s quite evident that there is an abundance of slice-of- life moments in the film.
The film has been produced by Sony Pictures, SPE Films India, Treetop Entertainment and Benchmark Pictures. It also stars Jimit Trivedi.
Is it easy to be a child to your parents even at 75? Looks like we will have to wait until the movie
releases on May 4 2018.
