A few days ago it was reported that Aamir Khan is planning on making a movie on the Indian epic, Mahabharat. Once again Aamir has amazed the tinsel town with his eccentric choices. Reportedly, Aamir Khan is extremely keen to portray the role of the spiritual guru, Bhagwan Rajneesh aka Osho on the big screen.

Kapoor and Sons director Shakun Batra is planning to helm a web series on the life of the acclaimed spiritual guru. It is also being reported that if everything falls into place, then a web series for an international streaming channel is on the cards.

The reports said:

“Everyone knows what a great sense of script Aamir has. When he got to know about this one, it immediately piqued his interest. In fact, he is said to have visited Los Angeles, USA, to meet the officials of the streaming channel. This is definitely an important development.”

Millennial favorite, Alia Bhatt who has worked with Batra in Kapoor and Sons, is a close friend of the director. She has heard the script and is also very enticed to be a part of it. The report added:

“She, too, has loved it. It’s not known whether she will be a part of the project, but she believes it’s a great script.”

Alia Bhatt and Aamir Khan sharing screen space is something to definitely look forward to.

A Netflix series Wild Wild Country was released on March 16, 2018. The documentary is based on Osho and the international community, Rajneeshpuram in Oregon, USA. The show caught the attention of many Bollywood stars and a lot of them took to social media and tweeted about it.

Very recently, there has been a sudden shift of focus on the life of the spiritual Guru, Osho. It would be interesting to see how many more Bollywood projects this leads to.

Currently, Aamir Khan is busy shooting for Thugs of Hindostan. Whereas Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor wrapped up the first schedule of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.
