With his first script, Dil Chahta Hai, starring Aamir Khan, Farhan sparked a new wave of cinema, to which the youth-related very quickly. Farhan remade the Amitabh Bachchan classic, Don, with Shah RukhKhan in the lead in 2006. This was his third project as a director.
