Akshay Kumar’s Padman To Release On 26th January Now!

Akshay Kumar is one name in the bollywood industry who has always been consistent with his movies and performance over the years. In 2017 he had two releases Jolly LLB 2 and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, and both were pretty successful at the box office. Now when the year is going to end soon, he has announced his next two films which are Padman and 2.0 (Rajnikant starrer). Recently he has revealed a poster of Padman and a new release date for it. This upcoming hindi family drama is going to release on 26th January as per the latest reports and his much awaited movie 2.0 has been pushed to April, 2018.

The movie is inspired by the life of Coimbatore based Arunachalam Muruganantham, a normal man who found a way to make affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village. Yes sometimes, some superheroes come without a cape can help the society to lead a better life and fight unnoticed small things which make a big difference. Padman also features Neerja actress Sonam Kapoor and Badlapur actress Radhika Apte in key roles. Since the January slot was all empty to be not used, Akshay Kumar decided to grab the long weekend slot for PadMan.  Written and directed by R Balki, the movie is based on a chapter from Twinkle’s book ‘The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad’.

At the same time, it is speculated that the reason for the sudden shift of these movies is its VFX work which is taking longer than expected. Currently this Tamil-hindi movie is in the post-production stage and it might take some more months to get completed. In 2.0, Akshay Kumar plays the baddie and will be seen in an evil crow scientist getup starring opposite Rajnikant!
