Akshay Kumar is synonymous with quality cinema. His recent films like Rustom, Airlift, Baby and Jolly LLB 2 are all cinematic brilliance. They all have been relevant films to which viewers connected instantly. Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, directed by Shree Narayan Singh, is again a light-hearted social drama, which deals with the problem of sanitation and open defecation in rural parts of India. An extension of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan, the film promotes the need of toilets in Indian villages. Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey have co-produced the film.

The makers of Toilet – Ek Prem Katha have decided to go beyond Indian cinema’s traditional international market, which comprises of countries like USA, UK, Australia, the Gulf countries and New Zealand.
