In a significant career spanning 11 years, Anushka Sharma has contributed greatly in every film as the lead protagonist. She founded her production house at 25 and has had a great run at the box office, with leading production houses as well as her own company Clean Slate Films.
An achiever at 29, as a lead actor, producer, wife and a clothing brand owner, a former model, Anushka is a multitalented artist and entrepreneur. Rightfully given the honor of her position in Forbes Asia’s Under 30 list, Sharma has been gauged for her successes in the film industry, for being one of the highest paid actresses, and her
contribution in the initiative of ‘Right to Education’ an advert she was cast in, by the Indian Government.
Anushka started out with the YRF Banner, under the mentorship of Aditya Chopra, who found her to be talented but not one of the best looking actresses. Apparently, Maneesh Sharma, her friend, was instrumental in helping her bag the lead role in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’.
Anushka earlier harbored dreams in the modeling line and even considered journalism. Yet her expressive and emotive ways, pulled her towards acting in feature films.
Anushka is currently shooting for Sui Dhaaga (YRF Banner) opposite Varun Dhawan, and will feature in the Sanjay Dutt biopic as a journalist (June 2018) Subsequently, she will play a scientist in Anand L. Rai’s Zero opposite Shah Rukh Khan (Christmas 2018).
Anushka is not the typical wife to take a sabbatical post marriage, and is making great film choices.
