Baahubali, director SS Rajamouli’s best work ever, was left out at the climax which made audience crave for the part after the cliffhanger, ‘Why did Katappa kill Baahubali?’ It is like the Indian version of the popular T.V Series ‘Game of Thrones’ where the famous character Jon Snow dies and comes back in the next season! Though we are still baffled with our question and everyone wants to know the damn answer after so much of hype around it. When the first part came it was something Indian audiences never witnessed. Huge sets with some nice war scenes and old civilizations. When we talk about period drama in India, various other movies have been made like Asoka, Jodha Akbar, Bajirao Mastani and Mohenjo Daro. But the Baahubali series stands apart and high and how!
Be it the twisted story or the lead characters played by Tamannah Bhatia and Prabhas, Baahubali: The Beginning was one of the finest Indian films. With every passing day, expectations for its epic fantasy sequel Baahubali 2: The Conclusion don’t seem to drop a number among the audiences worldwide. This upcoming Hindi movie is scheduled to release worldwide on April 28, 2017. The curiosity and speculations have reached so far that the British Queen Elizabeth II and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are going to witness the special screening before the movie releases. In order to celebrate India’s 70th year of Independence, the British Film Institute will be screening Indian films in England from April 24 and it has been confirmed that ‘Baahubali 2’ will also be screened in this much-regarded event of 2017.
Before the start of first part of this grand movie Baahubali, the makers planned to complete the film within the budget of ₹250 crores. But with the humongous success, they have regained confidence and the budget for the second part is ₹243 crores. Despite the huge costs involved, the second part has already earned double the profits for its makers as the theatrical and satellite rights have been picked up for a whopping ₹500 crores. It can be very well expected that Baahubali 2 can become the first movie to cross the mark of ₹1000 crore gross in the history of Indian cinema.
In order to satiate the audience’s’ curiosity and reveal a few major plans, Director SS Rajamouli has revealed that Baahubali 3 is also on the table. He also stated that either of the lead actors will be a part of the movie and that it’s a spin-off of this Bollywood action film, Baahubali. So now, there is a possibility in the sequel where the makers along with Rajamouli would leave the audience awestruck just like the climax of the first part! Also in the meanwhile, the trailer of Baahubali 2 is expected to release in mid-March. Stay tuned for more updates and happenings on the movie and all news related to it.
