1. Maine Pyar Kiya
Salman played the lead role of a rich brat with a good heart who falls in love with Suman (Bhagyashree), a daughter of his father’s friend from a humble background. How Prem matures from being a man-child to a man who accepts his responsibilities and is willing to change for good for his love.
2. Hum Aapke Hain Koun…!
Salman Khan goes by many names, Prem being one of them. Here, Prem is a mischievous younger brother who falls in love with his bhabhi’s sister Nisha. Hum Aapke Hain Koun…! is easily one of the most successful films in India over the years. This sweet love story witnessed the amazing chemistry between Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan.
One of the funniest comedies on the 90’s, Judwaa now holds the status of a cult classic. The film was funny and enjoyable. Salman Khan’s comic timing was always amazing (remember Andaz Apna Apna?). Judwaa is simply better because we get two Bhais.
4. Tere Naam
Somewhat of a tastemaker, all fans sported the Radhe look after Tere Naam was released. Salman Khan plays an obsessive lover who loses the love of his life and eventually his mind. This is touted to be one of the best Salman Khan movies of all time.
5. Phir Milenge
Salman’s co-star from Love, Revathy directed Phir Milenge. The film touched upon a sensitive topic – HIV/AIDS. Salman Khan plays an HIV patient and has given a stable, mellow performance. Though in a small role, Salman Khan made everyone sit up and take notice of his acting chops.
