Disha Patani is gradually rising in influence; the young starlet is careful about her film choices, considering her non-filmy background. Gifted in the art of dance, and groomed to be an exceptional looker, the actor enjoys performing, and is looking forward to do many more films.
She delivered a decent girl next-door performance in MS Dhoni – The Untold Story, after which she featured in a tri-lingual action adventure ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ opposite Jackie Chan and Sonu Sood and has landed a huge commercial film, Baaghi 2, as her second big Bollywood outing.
Recalling the days when Disha was struggling to make her debut in the Hindi Film Industry, she revealed that at the last hour, she was replaced by another actress. A film which was supposed to be her launch vehicle fell in the laps of another actor. However, not bogged down by rejection and failure, Disha used this lesson to work harder on her craft, in order to change people’s perceptions.
Disha left college to work in the film industry. She came to Mumbai with a mere 500/- and participated in several auditions for TV Commercials, to be able to pay her house rent. A reserved person, she didn’t have many friends back then, and would get bored without her work commitments.
However, things have changed for the better. Disha has been cast in huge film productions and has a growing fan-following; Baaghi 2 will certainly do a lot to her rising film graph.
