Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra will be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next venture – Pataakha. The film also features Radhika Madan in the lead role and comedian Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz in crucial and pivotal roles.
The film is a comedy drama produced under the banner Kyta Productions. Pataakha was earlier titled “Churiyaan” but was later changed to “Pataakha” as the filmmakers did not want to confuse the audience. The film is based on a short story by Charan Singh Pathik’s titled Do Behnein. Recently, Pataakha’s first look was revealed and it looks intense to say the least. Both the leading ladies, Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan, are seen in the middle of an intense fight. The first look poster bears the words “Do Behenein: Yuddh Aarambh” (roughly translated, “the war between two sisters commences”)
The film is set for a late September release and the cast and crew are sharing behind-the-scene and on- location pictures on various social media platforms. In the recent one shared, it appears that Pataakha is a film based rural India, as one of the pictures features Sanya in the middle of a farm. According to the sources, the comedy-drama Pataakha is based in a village in Rajasthan and stars two sisters, Badki and Chutki, who cannot seem to get along, until they get married and are separated.
Director Vishal Bhardwaj’s last film as a director was Rangoon, released in 2017. The anticipations are rife. Also, Pataakha is set to release on 28th September, which clashes with the Varun Dhawan-Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga.
