Kapil Sharma, the popular comedian turned actor, is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to promoting his second film, Firangi which is set to release on the 24th of November. The movie is a historical period drama film but it’s also a comedy. It tells the story of India during the rule of the British Empire, but through the eyes of an unusual and naïve character. This is also Kapil’s debut home production movie.
Recently, the star comedian went on the sets of the show Super Dancer Chapter 2 which happens to be the set where The Kapil Sharma Show was shot, which played a monumental role in his success as a popular comedian and made him a household name.
Kapil, who was a guest on the show, expressed his happiness being on the sets where he had interviewed the who’s who of Bollywood as well as sports personalities, international artists and other popular icons. He further said that it was an emotional and nostalgic moment for him and that he enjoyed it thoroughly.
Super Dancer 2 had kids performing and Kapil thoroughly enjoyed the energetic atmosphere along with the panellists Anurag Basu, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Geeta Kapur. He was recently at an Ayurvedic centre in Bengaluru to undergo treatment a few weeks back because of some health issues. The infamous spat with his former team-member Sunil Grover has also been a downer for the comedian who is looking to make his mark in Bollywood as an actor. He made his debut in 2015 with the film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, a comedy film that had him romancing four actresses.
Kapil Sharma’s upcoming movie Firangi also stars actors Ishita Dutta, Monica Gill, Edward Sonnenblick, Kumud Mishra, Anjan Srivastav and others. It has a song by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan called “Sahiba Russ Gayiya” and also has an alternative rendition by Shafqat Amanat Ali and Neha Bhasin. The soundtrack for the film will be released by Zee Music Company and the film is set to release on the 24th of November.
