This is what Tabrez Noorani had to say about the film, “The film is unflinching and controversial. We wanted to make a movie that can be a global platform for a problem that is happening in every community, which people don’t notice”

Birmingham Indian Festival, starting from June 21 2018 till July 1 2018 is split into thematic strands
covering female filmmakers, father-son relationships and famine amongst others. The film festival will
close with Venus, which is about a transgender person who, on the eve of gender-reassignment surgery,
finds out about the existence of a son.
