Dulhania is back! Karan Johar tweeted the first look of his next film, Badrinath Ki Dulhania which is a sequel of 2014’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. The shooting of the film has been wrapped up and the film is ready to release next year in March. For the time being, here’s what you need to know about Badrinath and his dulhania.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania - Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan

1. The love story continues…
Badrinath ki Dulhania starts from where the Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania ended. This is all we know as of now! Will it be a post shaadi narrative of Humpty and Kavya? Will they live a happy married life? All these questions might get answered by the trailers or else we will have to wait for March 2017.

2. “North ka Tadka” this time!
Yes, the story is set in a rural backdrop up North this time. Both Varun and Alia will be seen conversing in northern dialect. However, some scenes have also been shot in Singapore. It would be interesting to see how well Alia picks up the northern dialect, considering how conveniently she mastered Haryanvi for Udta Punjab.

3. High On Love
We heard that Badrinath Ki Dulhania will have many love songs, just like its prequel had. “Mei Tenu Samjhawa Ki” and Saturday Nights were the chartbuster songs from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Let’s hope the songs from its sequel live up that expectation.

4. Story Has Got a Twist!
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a love story of Jhansi boy, Badrinath and Vaidehi. The film is said to be a dark love story with some interesting twists and turns, which people generally don’t expect from a Dharma Production movie. It is directed by a theatre director, Shashank Khaitan. The film also features Gauhar Khan in an important role.

5. Dates to Remember!
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is all set to hit the theatre next year on 10th of March.
