Mubarakan: Yet Another Double Role Flick With Arjun Kapoor In The Lead

Mubarakan movie review

So Anees Bazmee doesn’t seem to end the movie spree without Anil Kapoor. In the upcoming Bollywood flick Mubaarakan, a comedy-drama, he is coming up with the lead actors are Ileana D’cruz, newcomer Athiya Shetty, and Arjun Kapoor playing a double role of two brothers; Karan and Charan Singh. This movie is produced by Boney Kapoor and the music is given by the talented Amal Malik. This movie seems to be on the lines of Anees Bazmee’s previous hits, No Entry, Welcome and Welcome Back and with the common element of Anil Kapoor and the balanced dose of Hindi comedy and family drama.

However, if we talk about the lead actors, this is the next film of Arjun Kapoor after the recent Half Girlfriend where he starred opposite Shraddha Kapoor. Talking about Athiya Shetty, this is her second film after Hero which released way back in 2015. Since Arjun Kapoor has a double role, it is clear that Mubarakan will be filled with confusion. For those who aren’t aware, Kapoor has played two characters in one film earlier. In the 2014 thriller Aurangzeb, he played twins but that film was flop without a trace. Now, we can only hope Mubarakan does not meet with a similar fate.

The music director Amaal Malik has been doing a phenomenal job in giving us fresh music in the Hindi films industry. The story looks more or less like the David Dhawan’s Main Tera Hero which released in 2014 and starred Varun Dhawan, Ileana D’cruz and Nargis Fakhri in the lead roles. It will be an interesting thing to see if the movie follows a different storyline. Two songs have already been released and well, whatever it may be with the flak we all have with Arjun Kapoor, one can ignore him, not like him, but can’t unsee him once he is on the big screen.

The film is slated to release on July 28 and the trailer is already out if you’ve been living under a rock. So why not give this Kapoor a chance to make you laugh and giggle and maybe judge him later after watching his upcoming Hindi comedy Film Mubarakan.
