Some few months back when Akshay Kumar announced that a prequel to Baby, one of the biggest hits of 2015 is on the cards, little did we anticipate what was coming. Yesterday when the first look of this film, which is titled as “Naam Shabana” was released by Akshay himself, we got to know what exactly is coming our way. And we must say we were impressed! Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Naam Shabana is the second film in the Baby Franchise and will follow Taapsee’s character. Both Akshay and Taapsee will reprise their role in this second installment. While in Baby Taapsee was seen in a special cameo, this time around is the lead protagonist and Akshay is reportedly playing a cameo in the film.

Taapsee Pannu is one actress who is here to make sure we stay stunned and surprised every time she comes on screen, be it her strong performance in Pink or her 15 minutes as a special agent in Baby. And now, she has impressed us again with her look in Naam Shabana. She looks strong, fiery and intimidating in the poster, completely overpowering Akshay Kumar, who is seen only as a reflection at the backdrop. Quite opposite to the character portrayed in Pink, she looks fearless and much confident in her de-glam look for Naam Shabana. This film belongs to her and she is the hero in it. Naam Shabana traces her character’s journey from a girl-next-door to one of the most qualified special agents. The film will also see National Award winning actor Manoj Bajpayee and South superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles.

The film has been shot extensively in Mumbai and Malaysia. The duo shot across famous locations of Kuala Lumpur, including the City Centre and Petronas Towers. The Bollywood movie will be laced with some high-intensity fight and action sequences for which both Taapsee and Akshay went through an intense training. The film is on the last leg of its shooting schedule and will be ready to hit the theatres on 31 st of March next year.

The actress who is fresh from the phenomenal success of her last film, Pink, is all geared up as an “Action Queen” for Naam Shabana. Are you ready to witness the awesomeness of Taapsee Pannu in the prequel of Baby!
