Yes this collaboration has been in the news for quite some time now. We are talking about none other than our Salman Khan and Dance Choreographer Remo D’souza. To tell you folks, it is a dance movie and will be Remo’s first directorial venture. The film is titled Dancing Dad but can still be changed if the producers find a better name. The film’s shoot is scheduled to begin as soon as Khan finishes shooting for Tiger Zinda Hai (sequel to Khan’s 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger) starring Katrina Kaif in the lead role.

Salman’s character in the film, is a widower, who has a nine-year-old daughter. The apparent story goes like that he has promised his dead wife that he will fulfill every wish made by his daughter. She wants him to participate in a dance competition and enrols his name for it. For the competition, he has to learn to dance. The Tubelight actor has quoted in one of his interviews as “dance film karna baaki tha, ab woh bhi kar liya.”
Remo for his directorial debut wanted a non-dancer as the main lead of this movie and Salman Khan fits the role pretty well. It is known to every movie fan and in the industry that he cannot dance well and Salman also spoke during the IIFA awards that producers pay him too much knowing that he is not a good dancer. Remo also made a statement in favour of Khan’s skills, reiterating that he is always up for challenges and is also a good dancer. Therefore, he is the perfect choice for the role.
What we think about the movie is that the film would be to dance, what Dangal was to sports. The film’s release date is not yet confirmed, but there were speculations that this movie would be released during the time of Eid next year as we all know that the festive season is always taken by Salman Khan. whether it is going to be a hit or not is a long shot, but we know one thing for sure, Remo will make the actor dance like he has never done before. Well, in the meanwhile you can check the other latest movies running in the theatres near you and enjoy the monsoon season with your friends and family.
