This was a bold move, alright. No other actor with the ambitions of making it big in Bollywood would’ve dared to play a deranged, obsessive man who stalks the “love” of his life. Who can forget the chilling, “K…k…k…k…Kiran…”. The film also starred Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla.
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge aka DDLJ

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Chak De! India
One of the best films of all time, this Shah Rukh Khan movie tells a story of Kabir Khan, a national level Hockey player. After being ousted rather unceremoniously and takes up coaching for the national women’s hockey team. The team wants their respect (they are a national team after all) and Kabir wants his honor. The film ends with a beautiful monologue by SRK that will give you goosebumps.
