Shraddha Kapoor is one actress who never ceased to amaze us with the immense talent she has. Be it her dancing skills in ABCD 2 or her singing prowess in Aashiqui 2 and Rock On 2, she has always shown us some new side of her personality in each of her films. Soft romantic roles have always been her forte, but for the first time, the lady has come out of her comfort zone and again showed us a new side of her. After giving a box office success, OK Jaanu, she is all geared up for her next film, Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai. She will see portraying the character of Haseena Parkar, the late sister of an underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim. This is the first time Shraddha is playing a negative character on screen.
The first look of the film has just released and Shraddha stuns us with her fearless and bold avatar as Haseena Parkar. The film will see Shraddha portraying the life of late Haseena Parkar (who passed away in 2014) from the age of 17-40. Quite early in her career, Shraddha has got this opportunity to play an author-backed role like this. And knowing her and her talent, we know the lady has the potential to do full justice to this character.
Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai will also see the brother-sister duo, Siddhant Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor together for the first time on screen. Siddhant Kapoor is playing the role of Dawood Ibrahim in the film. Siddhant has starred in three films until now – Shootout at Wadala in 2013, Ugly in 2014, and Jazbaa in 2015, but this is his first big role, where he will be portraying a lifelike character of the infamous underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim.
The film has been directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Nahid Khan. The music is given by the musical duo Sachin-Jigar. Since it’s a period drama, the music and lyrics of the film are being composed keeping that era in mind. The shooting has already been wrapped up and the film is now in its post-production stage. The promotions will start soon. 14th July is the release date of the film. If the first look is anything to go by, this could perhaps be one of the finest films of Shraddha Kapoor till date.
