Ayushmann Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar, who were earlier cast together in the National Award winning film, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, are again set to reunite for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Earlier this year, director Aanand L. Raiof Queen fame had announced the film with a Tweet. The shooting of the film had started in March this year and the film is slated for a worldwide release in September.

As the film is gearing up for release, here’s all we know about this upcoming Bollywood movie.

1. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is the Hindi remake of Tamil comedy, Kalyana Samayal Saadham. It is being helmed by RS Prasanna, who directed the original film in Tamil. The film is jointly produced by Aanand L. Rai and Eros. International.

2. The movie is about a couple, played by Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, who meet through an arranged marriage and then fall in love, but the twist comes in their love story when just a few days before the marriage, the groom finds out that he suffers from erectile dysfunction. How he and the girl deal with the issue as well as the pressures of marriage is what the rest of this Romantic Comedy film is all about.

3. The shooting of the film was supposed to be started earlier. But both the lead actors, Ayushmann and Bhumi were busy with other films. While Bhumi was busy shooting for Akshay Kumar starrer, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, slated to release this August, Ayushmann was shooting for Meri Pyaari Bindu with Parineeti Chopra.

4. The makers have released the first look of the film in April and that just added to the hype surrounding this movie. Two years ago, Ayushmann and Bhumi created magic on-screen as a couple in a unique love story, Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Their chemistry was loved by both, the masses and the critics. In Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan also they will be seen as a couple and are expected to recreate that magic again. If you are a fan of Dum Laga Ke Haisha, this film should be equally delightful.

5. Just like their previous film, the music of this film has also been composed by Anu Malik. He took us back to the old school music of the 90s with Dum Laga Ke Haisha
