Sridevi’s Prayer Meet: A.R. Rahman, Prabhudeva And Other Tamil Stars Pay Tribute

Kollywood paid tribute to late actress Sridevi at a recently held prayer meet in Chennai. The prayer meet was organised by the members of the Tamil film industry in a hotel in Chennai on March 11, 2018.

The legendary actress passed away last month while she was in Dubai attending a wedding. Similar to her funeral in Mumbai, the prayer meet’s venue was decorated with the actress’ favorite white flowers. Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor were joined by other family members as well at the meet.

Several South Indian stars came out in support of the family and paid homage to the late actress. A.R. Rahman who composed music for Sridevi’s last film, Mom attended the prayer meet with his wife. Famous Tamil Actor, Ajith who appeared in a cameo in English Vinglish, also arrived with his wife.

Actors like Prabhudeva, Vyajanthimala, Suriya, Jyothika, Arun Vijay, Meena, Raadhika Sarathkumar and Suhasini Mani Ratnam amongst several others made their presence felt.

Latha Rajnikanth also attended the meet. Rajnikanth and his wife had visited the family in Mumbai to convey their condolences before the funeral. 

Fashion designer, Manish Malhotra who is one of the closest friends of the family shared some pictures of the location on Instagram. A constant support, he was also present with the family in Haridwar.

Earlier that day, the late actress was also commemorated at a meeting held in the office of the South Indian Artistes Association (SIAA).
