India we have our very own Superman who devises a way to create sanitary pads, at a fairly low cost in an endeavor to promote hygiene against outdated and hazardous practices, adopted by underprivileged women.
This is by far Akshay Kumar’s most endearing film. R.Balki, former ad filmmaker turned director, has a special way to showcase relationships between his leads, dealing with real life complexities. He tries to send out an important message each time. Radhika Apte, is extremely real and rooted while Sonam Kapoor adds spunk to Pad Man and his vision.
It was great to see the unity of the film industry as they posed with sanitary napkins and took over our social media timelines. They sure have made period a normal term and successfully lifted the taboo on how natural it is for a woman to bleed.
Akshay Kumar and team recently held a special screening of the film, which is out today for audiences to see. Celebrities have loved the concept, found it entertaining and relevant at the same time.
Here’s what they had to say. Ayushmann Khurrana tweeted:

Saiyami Kher was seen singing praises of PadMan:
When a film, besides entertaining, empowers & creates awareness.. its a winner all the way! #Padman is just that. It’s brave & not preachy. An absolute must watch!
