The teaser trailer for the movie that released earlier had garnered a lot of interest and with the actual trailer being launched, Vidya Balan is receiving a lot of praise from the film fraternity and audiences alike, and that includes actors Anil Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Ritesh Deshmukh and even Karan Johar.
In the trailer, we see Vidya Balan play the character of Sulochana who is a happy-go-lucky housewife and mother living in Mumbai. She is a young enthusiastic woman who’s looking for adventure in her life. After winning a pressure cooker from a radio station’s contest, Sulu asks to be a radio jockey to the radio station’s producer played by Neha Dhupia who gives her a late night slot. Sulu impresses the listeners with her smooth and sensuous voice. She becomes a sensation with her listeners but her newfound success does not go down well with her husband Ashok (Manav Kaul), who starts complaining that she doesn’t give enough time to her family. The trailer leaves us wondering what happens next in Sulu’s life and is a fun slice of life movie.

The chemistry between Vidya Balan and her on-screen husband Manav Kaul looks promising and interesting to say the least. Popular yesteryears actors Sridevi and Anil Kapoor’s hit song Hawa Hawai from their 1987 movie Mr. India, has been reprised and appears in the movie. The official announcement for Tumhari Sulu was made in November 2016 and it was shot entirely in Mumbai. The movie is set to hit theatres on the 17th of November.
