Upcoming Hindi Movies You Don’t Want to Miss!

This year is already shaping up to be a cracker with movies like Mukkabaaz, Kaalakandi, Padmaavat, Padman and more. We have here a list of entertaining movies you can’t afford to miss!

1. Hichki

Hichki

Rani Mukherjee is making a comeback to movies after the birth of her daughter Adira with this film. Hichki is the story of the character Naina Mathur who has Tourette’s syndrome – a condition that forces a person to make repetitive involuntary movements or sounds. After several rejections Naina lands a job at one of the most elite schools in the city. Soon after she learns that her class of students are not a regular batch but she overcomes all the odds to teach them. The film would be an interesting watch as it takes a look at the trials and tribulations of a most unlikely individual in a humane fashion.

2. Veere Di Wedding

With a stunning star cast that includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar this movie has already garnered a lot of attention. The first look posters of the film are out and it appears to be an entertaining affair. Although sections of the media have called it a chick flick actress Sonam Kapoor has said, that it is more of a coming of age movie.

3. Dil Juunglee

This movie is a slice-of-life film that tells the story of a typical Delhi-boy Sumit played by Saqib Saleem and that of a nerdy looking girl played by Taapsee Pannu. It is a rom-com with a great supporting cast that consists of Abhilash Thapliyal, a radio jockey turned YouTuber, Nidhi Singh who starred in the popular YouTube series Permanent Roommates and others. From the looks of it the story is a comedic take on life and revolves around the theme of love and friendship.

4. Welcome To New York

The nearly two-and- a-half-minute trailer for this entertaining movie is out and it seems to have all the right ingredients. Welcome To New York has the ace director of Bollywood, Karan Johar showcasing his acting chops by playing a double role in the film. There are glimpses of the IIFA awards too as well as a great star cast consisting of actors Ritesh Deshmukh, Boman Irani, Sonakshi Sinha, Lara Dutta, Diljit Dosanjh and special
appearances by Rana Daggubati, Sushant Singh Rajput, Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan and more. With such a stellar cast of actor’s, audiences are sure to throng to cinemas.

5. Simmba

Simmba

Director Rohit Shetty is known to make some entertaining action movies and his latest venture Simmba is causing a stir in Bollywood as it is co-produced with Karan Johar. The movie stars the lively Ranveer Singh and is rumoured to have Janhvi Kapoor sharing screen time with the actor as well. Ranveer will be seen playing a cop in the movie complete with a handlebar moustache and aviators as seen in the posters. This is definitely one to look
out for!
