After the success of Bareilly Ki Barfi and Raabta, it’s actually raining offers for Kriti Sanon. This actress has shown some tremendous potential in her previous films and has been getting a lot of movies lately. It seems that Vishal Bhardwaj, who came up with Rangoon this year, is looking forward to casting Kriti Sanon in his next film.  The movie is titled Churiya and while the title demonstrates the nature of the two sisters, we hear that Kriti will be playing the role of the younger sister.

According to a leading news daily, the maker has said, “The film is set in a small town of Rajasthan, where fights between two sisters can get ugly, both physically and verbally abusive. The word, Churiya can have two meanings – here it refers to girls who can be as sharp as knives. Vishal and Kriti have been meeting regularly for the past few weeks.  Vishal approached many actors, including Parineeti Chopra, Bhumi Pednekar, Sonakshi Sinha and Shraddha Kapoor, for the part of the older sister. He even made them deliver screen tests. He is yet to arrive at a name.”

Due to the box office failure of Rangoon earlier with Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut on board, Vishal Bhardwaj is distancing himself from his usual Shakespeareque movies, and is all set to experiment with family relationship movies.
