It would be the first time for Santhosh P Jayakumar’s film to receive a U certificate by CBFC. The director of popular adult comedy entertainers is back with a comedy drama named Ghajinikanth. The shooting was completed earlier in the week and the team behind the film is gearing up for an Eid release.

The movie stars Arya as a young man with a well-paying job, who is a die-hard fan of Rajinikanth and suffers from memory loss. The name of Arya’s character in the movie is Rajinikanth, but owing to his memory loss issues, he is named Ghajinikanth. Ghajini was a Tamil movie released in 2005, where the central character played by Suriya had short-term memory loss.

The trailer of the movie was released on the first of May, coinciding with the 47th birthday of Tamil Superstar Ajith. Arya had taken to Twitter to release the trailer along with a Tweet:

Ghajinikanth, is the Telugu remake of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy which was released in 2015. Ghajinikanth, starring Arya, Sayyeshaa, Naren, Sampath Raj and Karunakaran in pivotal roles is all set to release on 15 June 2018.
