His days of drug abuse, his jail time and his multiple marriages have been dissected in media for years. Currently, it’s his rumored love affair with Madhuri Dixit that’s resurfaced in news.
The 90’s popular on-screen pairs were rumored to be off-screen pairs too. The media speculated that a marriage would also be on the way, but that time Sanjay Dutt was already married to Richa Sharma.
Richa Sharma was in New York seeking treatment for cancer, when the rumours reached her. As the rumors crossed the shores, Richa was desperate to salvage her falling marriage and she wanted to come back to India. After 3 years of chemotherapy, Richa along with her daughter Trishala returned to India, but by then, Sanjay Dutt had moved on.
Sanjay Dutt had filed for divorce in the year 1993. The parents of Trishala Dutt fought over her custody for years. Throughout the years, Sanjay Dutt had rubbished all the media generated rumors. He said in an interview,“There has to be something on between us for me to marry her.”
Sanju, based on the life of Sanjay Dutt will hit the movie theatres on 29 June 2018. The movie, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma and Manisha Koirala in pivotal roles.
