5 Worst Superhero Movies That Are a Waste of Time

Written by Delnaz Divecha

Superhero movies are generally well appreciated by audiences, if not all critics. They have become so popular over the years that a superhero movie is now nominated for Best Picture in the Academy Awards. While Black Panther continues its tradition of breaking records everywhere, there are some superhero movies that have failed both in the box office and among movie fans who swear by the superhero genre. A number of these films belong to the DCEU, giving Marvel the edge in this genre. There also have been some Marvel films that haven’t worked their magic. Here are some of the worst superhero movies of the decade that you mustn’t waste your time watching if you haven’t seen them already.

Justice League (2017)

DCEU’s equivalent of Marvel’s Avengers brought together all the DC heroes and was the most expensive film of its time. Not only did it bomb the box office but got an approval rating of 40% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Suicide Squad (2016)

This DCEU film brought the villains together in what initially seemed like a game-changer of the genre. Margot Robbie was the only saving grace in the film.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Probably the worst DCEU movie ever made, the film went on to become a historic box office bomb in its genre and got unfavorable reviews from both audiences and critics.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

Spider-Man’s reboot franchise was a huge dud compared to the success of the Tobey Maguire series. Marvel then resonated the superhero with Andrew Garfield in the lead.

Fantastic Four (2015)

Marvel’s reboot of the franchise was the lowest grossing Fantastic Four film to date. Currently, the film holds an approval rating of 9% on Rotten Tomatoes.
