Avengers: Infinity War has already been one of the biggest films from Marvel ever, but MCU isn’t done for the year, or even the summer, yet. Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled to release in the first week of July, and fans are excited. While we’ve already seen the trailer and found out a bit about Wasp, we still don’t know much about the film. Director Peyton Reed has given out some more information, and said that this sequel is going to be very different from the first film.
Ant-Man, which came out in 2015, narrated the origin story of the main character, Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd), and how he became Ant-Man. Paul Rudd’s energy was loved by everyone, and along with his unique superpower of becoming ant-sized, Ant-Man quickly gained a huge fan following. Ant-Man also appeared in Captain America: Civil War. Although the superhero was absent from Avengers: Infinity War, we’re hoping we will an explanation of his absence with Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is going to be quite different from the first film as it picks up after Captain America: Civil War. Ant-Man is no longer a stranger to the world of superheroes, and it will be interesting to see his dynamic with Wasp, who is also shown to have a lot more powers than him. Ant-Man will show how Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) becomes Wasp, and how the two of them work together as partners and balance each other’s characters.
These new bits of information have got us even more excited for Ant-Man and the Wasp, and we can’t wait to see the two in action. The film is scheduled to release on July 6, 2018.
