The fans can rejoice as much as they want as Jason Momoa playing Aquaman is all set to feature in his standalone DCEU movie in 2018. Superhero movies are making big news in the industry for more than a decade now and cruising on their already established comic characters is the new thing makers are doing these days. We have already seen Logan, Spiderman: Homecoming, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 and we will see the grandeur of two big films releasing next month; Thor: Ragnarok and Justice League.

Jason Momoa in Aquaman

Jason Momoa as Aquaman

Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa, is a member of the superhero ensemble Justice League which comprises of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman. The character of Jason Momoa made a brief appearance in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (2015) and is now getting a standalone film which releases on December 21, 2018. Much before Aquaman hits the screens and we get the best of action from Game Of Thrones’ Khal Drogo, we will get to see Jason Momoa as Aquaman in Justice League next month which brings together all the notable DC superheroes together to fight against a common threat.

This much awaited superhero movie is directed by James Wan who is otherwise known for his horror movies like Saw and The Conjuring. He has also shared the news and posted a photo of himself with a clapperboard in his hands. James Wan’s recurring collaborator Patrick Wilson, who has worked with him on Insidious, Saw and The Conjuring series of horror films, will be playing the villain of the film. He portrays the role of Ocean Master, Aquaman’s corrupted half-brother, who wants to sit on the throne and rule his kingdom.

It will be a hell of a ride to watch this movie especially when this Game Of Thrones character died in the first season of the show. In spite of playing one of the favourite and critically acclaimed roles, he is being missed in his badass avatar and will be returning to the big screen next month. Meanwhile if you want to check his badassery, watch the Trailer of Justice League here and take a look at Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
