All the X-Men and Game Of Thrones fanatics, here is the big news of the day for you. Sophie Turner is finally getting her standalone movie and will be playing the character of young Jean Grey in the upcoming movie X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Written and directed by much known Simon Kinberg, X-Men: Dark Phoenix draws much of its inspiration from “The Dark Phoenix Saga,” the 1980 Marvel Comics storyline by in which Jean Grey is possessed and corrupted by the powerful cosmic entity known as the Phoenix Force. Entertainment Weekly has recently released the cover of its Dec magazine yesterday, giving fans their first look at the character of Jean Grey in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming mutant epic X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix features an ensemble cast that includes the Assasin’s Creed actor Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Split actor James McAvoy as Prof. Charles Xavier, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Alexandra Shipp as Storm. The story is set up 10 years after the X-Men: Apocalypse in the year 1992 and will have all the major characters but the famous Wolverine/Logan played by Hugh Jackman. Earlier this year we witnessed the movie Logan and bid adieu to this superhero who has been playing the same character for over 17 years. Even though it’s quite impossible to think of an X-Men movie without Logan, Sophie Turner’s movie will be worth the wait for one more year when this movie releases on November 02, 2018.
