Quentin Tarantino
Written by Chavi Pande

Quentin Tarantino is one of the most famous directors of Hollywood and there’s no doubt that whatever he works on is going to be a major film. He’s covered everything from slavery to the World War II, and his latest project is another dark part of history. Tarantino’s latest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, is centered around the infamous cult leader, Charles Manson.

Charles Manson formed a cult known as the Manson family in California in the late sixties, and his followers committed nine murders at four locations, which included killing the pregnant actress Sharon Tate, who was the wife of director Roman Polanski. This was one of the most striking deaths in Hollywood, and Charles Manson was imprisoned. Manson’s story has been told in many documentaries and books, but this will be the first big-budget Hollywood film that will be made on the topic.

For months, the impressive cast list kept getting longer, and it is only now that the first look of the film is released. Leonardo DiCaprio posted the picture on his Instagram, with the caption “First look. #OnceUponATimeInHollywood”. The first look is simply Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio standing together, both of them dressed in clothes that look straight from the 1960s. Brad Pitt is dressed in a classic denim jacket, a plain black t-shirt, and blue jeans, while Leonardo DiCaprio is dressed in a mustard yellow turtleneck and an orange-brown leather jacket with brown pants. There isn’t a lot of information about the film in the picture, but it has gone viral with over 1.8 million likes on Instagram.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s ensemble cast includes Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie, Dakota Fanning, James Marsden, Clifton Collins Jr., Timothy Olyphant, Emile Hirsch, Scoot McNairy, Damian Lewis, Burt Reynolds and Al Pacino. The film is scheduled to release on August 9 next year, which will also be the 50th anniversary of the Sharon Tate’s murder.
