Well it’s very apt to say that this is the age of superheroes. With Thor: Ragnarok and Justice League set to release this coming month, Marvel studios have dropped out another trailer for its upcoming superhero franchise, Black Panther. We all witnessed The Last Jedi Trailer last week and this trailer is not any less. Black Panther is not scheduled to release before 2018, and Marvel is not wasting much time getting the promotional machine rolling.
The Black Panther movie will be the third Marvel movie in the next two years specifically intended to launch new franchises which feature Spider-Man and Doctor Strange, so it’s crucial that they get everything just right. The character of Black Panther made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War, where T’Challa had just been climbing the ladder taking over as the next leader of the nation of Wakanda. Black Panther will pick up shortly after where Civil War left off, with his seat on the throne already being threatened.
In this extended trailer, we get a glimpse into the hardships that T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) faces once he returns to Wakanda, his home. Erik Killmonger played by Michael B. Jordan, is a Wakandan outcast who wants to overthrow T’Challa. He appears to have teamed up with Ulysses Klaue played by Andy Serkis, an arms dealer with access to the rare ore vibranium (Yes, the material Captain America’s shield is made of).
Thankfully, the trailer does a pretty good job of showcasing some of the impressive action scenes and introducing the new characters without giving away the plot too much. This upcoming Hollywood movie Black Panther arrives in theaters on February 16th, 2018. If you want to know more, take a look at the trailer below.
