What happens when bad guys take on worse guys? The DC Comics Warner Brother’s Suicide Squad will answer this question. Written and directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad was one of the most anticipated Hollywood Action movies of the year. And, much to the expectations of the fans, the movie didn’t disappoint either! Suicide Squad is a bunch of supervillains who are on a mission to save the world. They are given a task of heroes!

Suicide Squad starts from where the Batman Vs Superman ended. Amanda Waller (played by Viola Davis) works for the US government. Just like Batman in Batman v Superman; she’s also scared of the potential power of heroes like Superman, and believes that power should be kept in check. So she creates a metahuman, Enchantress. But, Enchantress betrays the govt and turns against humanity. She is out there to destroy the world now. Amanda assembles a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal, and send them off on a mission to defeat this enigmatic and insuperable entity, Enchantress.

The movie has got the perfect script and the director also didn’t fail on the execution part. The cinematography and the background score of the film were outstanding. The movie has got the look, feel and the detail which a superhero movie should have. The cast of the movie is just perfect. Three characters who deserve a special mention here are Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith) and Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). Will Smith’s Deadshot was probably intended to be a side character in the movie, but because of his super charisma, he became one of the lead characters. He effortlessly leads the team to battle.

However, the biggest disappointment was Jared Leto’s Joker. It seemed, he had no hold on the character at all. He doesn’t command any sort of intimidating power or charismatic presence; which the fans would have expected from the character of “Joker”. The love story of Harley and Joker was also not convincing. Every character’s backstory was wonderfully covered and the viewers were offered a glimpse into each of the ‘heroes’ minds.

Overall, Suicide Squad is a movie to watch out for. It is getting average to good reviews from both the critics and the fans, making it a not-to-be-missed cinematic experience.
