The year that is 2017 is going to be a year never witnessed before. It is full of surprises, action and full throttle battles with mystical creatures, gods, aliens and whatnot. There is nothing better than these movies and the loyalists of DC and Marvel have been waiting for all these since ages. With Game of Thrones coming in July and ending in the next month, we guarantee you from our side that these top 5 Sci-Fi movies are going to blow your head and make you want for more and more. It’s going to be the mother of all years where we have so much in store to pump up our excitement. And before this article gets filled with fanboying, let’s go down the road and have a peek at the upcoming sci-fi movies in 2017.

· Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2: May 5, 2017- With Doctor Strange meeting Thor for the next Marvel movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 will be filling the missing shoes in the MCU. This sequel to has regained all its original cast, though the character of Groot has been replaced by Baby Groot, who, in turn, is exceptionally cute. The search for all the Infinity stones is still in progress for Thanos to complete. Let’s see if this upcoming new movie has any easter eggs for us to follow when it hits the theatre on May 5th, 2017.

· Spider-Man Homecoming: July 7, 2017- Tom Holland, the new Spider-Man after the sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, is exploring his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The Vulture ( Michael Keaton ) emerges as a new villain, and everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened. The fans will get a glimpse of Iron Man also, and we wonder which other MCU heroes will join him in his first movie. This Peter Parker, Tom Holland, has lived up to every expectation of the superhero enthusiasts and it is to see if he can make it big with this movie.

· Transformers: The Last Knight – June 23, 2017- The fight has gone to a new level in Michael Bay’s next Transformers, dubbed The Last Knight, where the Autobots have lost Optimus Prime as he tries to kill everyone’s favorite, Bumble Bee. The movie has Prime searching through the cosmos for the Quintessons, the being believed to be responsible for the creation of the Transformer race. Meanwhile, on Earth, Wahlberg’s character Cade Yeager will be facing a new alien threat against the Earth. The movie is set to release on June 23rd, 2017 and is going to be bigger and better in every aspect.

· Thor: Ragnarok: November 3, 2017 – If the aforementioned movies haven’t given you enough chills, this movie will definitely will. It is going to rain Gods when Thor: Ragnarok hits the theatres. The trailer was launched yesterday evening and left all of us with wide mouths and some holy words in the ending. Chris Hemsworth will be reprising his role as the Asgardian God and is shown taking on Hulk from the Planet Hulk and settling an old score with his pal from work. This movie is for sure going to be a crossover between Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers franchises and will set the plot of Avengers: Infinity War which will release in 2018.

· Justice League: November 16, 2017 – We got a glimpse of this highly anticipated superhero movie and the trailer includes all the important characters of the DC universe – Batman at the helm, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and one of the favorite characters of all time, The Flash. Though Superman and Green Lantern are missing from the poster and trailers, they will be joining the league soon! The team will fight one of the biggest badasses of all time, Darkseid, who wants to rule the universe along with his army of Parademons.

Summary: The year is going to be next level crazy with some of the best sci-fi movies of all time. If you don’t live under a rock and keep away from social media buzz, this is the place for you to be.
