It’s been almost a decade since this Farah Khan movie Om Shanti Om was released and it’s still spreading magic across the globe. The movie starred Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Rampal,Deepika Padukone and Shreyas Talpade in the lead roles and did wonders. But even after all the time dialogues like ‘chutki bhar sindoor’ and ‘ jis cheez ko dil se chaho’ are fresh in our minds like we heard them just yesterday. The song ‘Dastaan-E-Om Shanti Om’ still brings chills down our spine and the flashes start coming back in front of our eyes. Yes this is the thing you get to witness, when you confront a good movie.
In the latest news, this movie is being adapted as a Japanese musical and the director Farah Khan is in Japan these days to promote it. She took to Twitter to share photographs from the premiere night of the musical adaptation and wrote ”First Bollywood film ever to get its own international musical adaptation! ‘Om Shanti Om‘ opening night! Picture abhi baaki hain.” It is also believed that this adaptation will be showcased throughout the country and the stars can’t get enough of this.

Music directors Vishal-Shekhar, who composed the famous songs of the film also shared their excitement where Shekhar tweeted: “Beautiful memories Farah! Always grateful to you and Shah Rukh Khan for believing in us.”

The songs of the Hindi movie were really mesmerising and fit the situations amazingly. Farah Khan also shared a photograph of a jacket from the dress rehearsal and tweeted: “We should have made this awesome jacket for Shah Rukh Khan. ‘Om Shanti Om‘ musical dress rehearsal was awesome..Japan truly celebrating the film.”
The lead actor Shah Rukh hinted that they should think about a sequel now. “Let’s do it in part 2 now. Last nite kids telling me how much they love ‘OSO‘,” he wrote.

This may be a hint to a future collaboration of these two artists to come up with a second installment of our favourite, Om Shanti Om. Well whatever the future may hold, we would surely want to see the sizzling chemistry of Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan again on the big screen.
