Rumors were adrift that superstar Rajinikanth’s first film of 2018 was to clash with the mega-starrer Race 3. Kaala has already been pushed from its earlier release date of April 27, and will now hit theatres worldwide on June 07, 2018, as conformed by its makers. This political gangster film will be screened across cinemas one week before the release of Salman Khan’s upcoming action flick, which will release on June 15.
Written and directed by Tamil filmmaker Pa. Ranjith, Kaala stars Rajinikanth in the lead role as a man from Tirunelveli, who migrates to Mumbai, and eventually emerges as a virtuous gangster in the Dharavi slums. Thalaiva is all set to make his mark as a pioneer of the proletariat in this film, which also stars veteran Nana Patekar and Samuthirakani in prominent roles, and Huma Qureshi as Rajini’s love interest. The movie is produced by Dhanush (Rajinikanth’s son-in-law), under his banner, Wunderbar Films.
Rajinikanth’s films are always a big release globally and Kaala is no different. The teaser shows the superstar in all his glory and even the music has everyone excited. The complete audio, by Santhosh Narayanan, is set to release on May 09, a month before the big release.
