Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan had gifted Bollywood one of its unforgettable on-screen brothers in the movie Amar Akbar Antony over 40 years ago. Now, Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor come together in Umesh Shukla’s movie, 102 Not Out. The pair of Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan were last seen together 27 years ago in the movie Ajooba.

In the movie 102 Not Out, Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a 102-year-old father and Rishi Kapoor plays his 75-year old son. The light-hearted movie is based on a Gujarati stage play by Saumya Joshi which goes by the same name.

The two actors posted a hilarious ‘pre-teaser’ video on YouTube announcing the release of the teaser. The teaser for this quirky movie is unusual, to say the least. The makers of the movie have tried to portray generation gap in a reverse mode. In the teaser, Bachchan tells Kapoor, “I would be the first father in the world who will send his son to an old age home.”

The first look of the actors with the prosthetics had caught the audiences’ attention. The actors had to spend over 3 hours in doing their make-up and prosthetics.

Talking about the movie, Amitabh Bachchan said:

“I know the country loves the younger, fresh and vibrant new generation – as it should deservedly, but who ever said the ‘oldies’ are not capable to do similar .. we know you may not love us, but given a chance we shall not disappoint you either .. and that is as immodest as I can get.”

Rishi Kapoor had a jolly good time filming the movie. He said:

“Being in ‘102 Not Out’ brought back a lot of fond memories and fun I have shared with Amitji during my younger days. I am glad to reunite with him on such a special and unusual film.”

102 Not Out, directed by Umesh Shukla and co-produced by Benchmark Pictures, along with Treetop Entertainment and Sony Pictures International Productions India will hit the theatres on May 4th 2018.
