The first trailer for Raid is out and the trailer comes with the tagline, “Heroes don’t always come in uniform.”
The movie is set in Lucknow circa 1981 and is based on the high-profile raids conducted by the bold Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Amay Patnaik. Ajay Devgn plays the role of the protagonist. We can definitely say that Ajay Devgn is back to wow us with his power-packed dialogues and solid action sequences in this movie.
The trailer begins with Amay Patnaik standing in front of Rameshwar Singh’s palatial gate asking his watchman to let him in as he is equipped with a search warrant. Singh is armed by a battalion of men who will do anything to protect him.
Rameshwar Singh’s menace is convincingly depicted by Saurabh Shukla in the movie. The trailer is jam packed with whistle-inducing one liners like, “Mai sirf sasural se hi shadi ke din khali hath lautha hu.” and “India me officers ka nhi unki biwio ka bahadur hona jaruri hai.” Apart from Ajay Devgn and Saurabh Shukla, Ileana D’Cruz stars in the movie as his supportive yet anxious wife.
Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to share the trailer for the movie. He Tweeted:
