Varun Dhawan lately has been off the big screen for quite some time now and is preparing for his upcoming movie Judwaa 2. He was last seen in Badrinath Ki Dulhania opposite Alia Bhatt and gained a lot of praise for his work. But this time he’s coming with something even bigger and better! He has joined hands with the famous director Shoojit Sircar and Juhi for this venture whose production will start this September. Sircar as a director has always looked for stories that inspire him as a human being. And like his previous projects, Delhi will play an important role in ‘October’ as well.

This upcoming film has an element of a love story but in a very unusual manner. And Varun is one of the finest young actors that can play the role to its full perfection. This character will be a leap for him too from all the characters that he has done till now in his previous films. Even though the lead lady for this project is still not finalised, Varun has been working quite a bit with the director already. According to this Student Of The Year actor, he has been an ardent fan of Shoojit’s movies and is grateful for choosing him and making him part of this unusual story.

Shoojit feels that while love and romance have been entwined with Indian cinema for a long time, there is abundance in that emotion that everyone can have their own interpretations of. And he has always wanted to delve in. Along with Juhi Chaturvedi, he has always tried to create stories from the reflections of real-life moments that they saw around them and October is another effort to explore those moments out of simple situations of life. They both have collaborated over some critically acclaimed movies like Piku, Vicky Donor (2012) and also co-wrote the dialogues for Madras Café (2013).

Apparently, the film goes on the floors in next October and will be shot in Delhi, which Shoojit calls his favourite city. So we hope that we get to see the biggest film of Varun with Shoojit and the story remains etched in our minds for long.
