How to end this decade with a bang?
Watch “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”
One of the most anticipated movies of the year is the Episode IX of Star Wars series – The Rise of Skywalker. Though the viewers have got a glimpse of this “Skywalker” in the earlier films, this movie focuses specifically on the battle against the First Order and his nephew. To brush up your memory, you might’ve seen Luke Skywalker learn about the Force in the first trilogy and played an important role in the fall of the Empire and Emperor Palpatine. In the second trilogy, you might’ve seen how Luke’s father, Anakin Skywalker became our favorite villain – Darth Vader.
Tread carefully! Spoilers ahead!
Princess Leia returns in this movie by leading the Resistance along with Rey. She trains Rey to become a Jedi but doesn’t continue her own training in fear of becoming the reason for the death of her son. Kylo Ren as we all know by now is the son of Princess Leia and Hans Solo. He duels with Rey on Endor moon during the battle and during this duel, Princess Leia tries to communicate with her son but in vain. Using this opportunity, Rey stabs Kylo with the lightsaber. Leia passes away soon after that and Rey rescues Kylo with the Force. Kylo then with a change in his heart thanks to his dad, Hans Solo, turns against the First Order and becomes Ben Solo. The moment we all waited for.
They then join forces to against Emperor Palpatine. Honestly, the biggest twist awaits in the end.
The movie did its best to shock its viewers with twists and turns in the nook and corner of the film. Overall the film isn’t perfect or in better terms, didn’t satisfy our anticipations and cravings but it did a good job in honoring the late actress Carrie Fisher who become the pop culture icon by playing Princess Leia with a cinnamon bun hairdo. The Star Wars film scores a 3.6 over 5 for its amazing efforts in the graphics arena, storyline, and of course for its dramatic costumes.
